any prize for locating?

Did we ever get a solution to this question? Could it be the old Gaumont (later, Odeon) cinema on Old Street?

My grandad lived at 26 old st in 1911,I was taking a picture of the rear  and went back to Old St.down the easterly alley.Low and behold,Vanessas picture,so I took one.
S.B Rains opticians was also in the block.
Non on Bunty night either!!!
Also had a real surprise by running into Angie of Chrisangie only seeing her on a video at Doveholes.
I just asked if she would be called Angie.
Not bad for an old fart from over the pond eh!!!!

Why is there a man with a bucket blocking the entrance?

It's not a bucket, it's a basket with wheels. he's just pulled to handle out to give to someone  :)

Wilkinsons uses them too, I like them as they don't take up as much room as a trolley and you can put heavy items in them.

I like a trolley as it helps me to walk around the stores. I have a 4 wheel one with a seat which I now take out a lot more as my hips not good and it gives me a sense of security Fudge

A far cry from the 'all black' scenes of old.......

Picture off the council's web site (and on it as well).
