Poll

Who will be the first Labour Politician to fall on the sword ??

Hazel Blears
Jaqui Smith
Gordon Brown
Baroness Uddin
Some minor sacrificial lamb no one has ever heard of
None of the above - after all they have done nothing wrong...
None - as none of them have a shred of decency
Who Cares ? The Tories are just  as bad

Expenses Sweepstake (Poll)

Wonder why Cameron didn't savage Brown when this started to emerge. No party is going to come out of this looking good.

Problem is that, as the system stands, a lot of the claims were legally correct.  However, I think most of us would agree that they were morally indefensible.

That Hazel Blears is such a smug little B@$7@4D, she should have fallen on her sword a long time ago. But they all P!$$ in the same pot. Tony Blair has a lot to answer for he is laughing all the way to the bank.

Politicians and nappies should be changed frequently...and for the same reason!!!

I totally agree with Musky about Blears. She is so smug, and always as that stupid grin on her face. She is taking the p**s big time. Laughing all the way to the bank.

I think the worst case (so far) is Oldham East & Saddleworths M.P. Phil Woolas. 3.99 Bottle of Red Wine 2.99 For Tampax and 1.19 for Panty Liners. All on the same receipt, the mind boggles.

Phil Woolas says, yes, they were on the same receipt but they weren't the items that he was claiming for.

Or were you suggesting that it is inexcusable to buy wine for 3.99?

(Surely, if he was going to claim it back from the taxpayer, he would have picked up a more expensive bottle of plonk?)

I cannot ever remember when our politicians were held in such contempt. The gap between the governed and the governors has surely never been so wide! They are all making the most of their time in office. The European Union gravy train however, is another story and makes the Westminster scandal look like petty cash!
I hope people will now start to ask where all our billions paid into the EU coffers ends up. The EU don't like to be asked as they are so very corrupt, un-democratic and wasteful. Why do we give billions of our money to the EU every year without so much as a question asked? After all, the EU hasn't even managed to have its accounts approved by the auditors for the last ELEVEN YEARS!!! Don't give them another penny I say until they put their house in order! If the EU was a business it would have gone bust years ago and its 'directors' would be in prison! Billions wasted and no explanations given and they get away with it all. Compare all that to the metric martyrs who wanted to stick with imperial measures, some people were actually prosecuted and now have a criminal record for selling fruit by the pound!!! Funny world isn't it?
If the government are serious about making savings they could start with the EU!
The Black Knight rides again!

Martin. Perhaps the wine was a gift for one of his constituents.

I note he has not started legal proceedings against the Telegraph as he promised on Saturday.

Am I the only one enjoying the delicious irony of Govt data being leaked (yet again) whilst the same Govt are claiming that the ID database will be extremely secure.

I just can't stop laughing  ;D
