I am doing a quiz on clue I can't get Deep fried avocado with camembert was a popular starter in which decade would be grateful for some help Fudge

Never tried it but at a guess 80's or 90's  ;)
The Saxon is not like those Euros. His manners are not so polite.
But he never means anything serious till he talks about justice and right.

Not sure when it was popular but I am sure I was eating deep fried camembert in the 1970's
