Labour should stand down in seats to help the Greens Ė Lewis, Siddiq and Cruddas | LabourList

That's not just getting away from Labour roots that's desperation.

Did anyone see Diane Abbott's car crash of an interview on tv this morning? It was the most toe-curling (and scary) political interview I've ever seen. If Corbyn and his commie-loving supporters ever get to be in power, Abbott will be the Home Secretary and God Help Us. She was supposed to be telling us how Labour will recruit thousands more police but when asked about the cost and funding she flapped about like a beached whale, quoting utterly ridiculous figures.  Of course we know why she is where she is don't we? For a look into a future that will happily not come to pass, see

Ok, its not too bad after all, its only going to be £1.200.000.000.
Not that different to £30.000 or £80.000.000

I'm certain that I see five o'clock shadow on Labour hopeful for East Worthing and Shoreham, Sophie Cook (born Steve). Jezza looks so proud.

Been racking my tiny brain to try and think of one positive thing that socialism has done for mankind but apart from robbing Peter to pay Paul I can't come up with much.

Great Socialist Leaders, oooooh  lemmeee think...   Pol Pot, Stalin, Castro, Lenin, Mao, Kim-Jong-Wotsisname  and a few others. Give me good old consumerism any day, you can stick your Trabant, I'll keep the BMW and the Jag  :)

PS Didn't a certain Corporal A Hitler once try Nationalism and Socialism, that worked well didn't it ?.

You're confusing Communism with Socialism, they're different things.

I have lots of friends who have always voted for Labour and have said they will not vote for them this time as they don't like Corbyn  and his views They also they dont think we would get a good deal with him on leaving Europe Fudge

I think you are right Fudge Ė in fact there seems to be so much hostility in Europe to the UKís democratic decision to pull out that I would not be surprised if there was no deal at all. That chap Juncker is no friend of ours. No wonder David Cameron did not want him to be the EU president.

Thinking back to when I was younger, it was not easy to predict whether Labour or Conservatives would win a General Election yet in a way it was like todayís party situation but reversed. Then, Labour had Ďmoderateí leaders like Atlee, Gaitskell, Wilson while the Tories were perceived as a party for the Ďtoffsí with McMillan, Douglas-Home. Today we have a Tory Prime Minister who has a very different background from McMillan and Douglas-Home but a Labour party, led by a left-winger, that is threatened with infiltration by hard-liners like Momentum and Socialist Workers Party. No wonder the British public are scared of a Corbyn victory. They promise to do this, that and the other if elected to power and to be honest, few would disagree with their aims but we know their schemes would be funded by borrowing, borrowing and more borrowing until their arms fell off. I honestly have never had any political allegiance to any party but the reality of 2017 politics is clear for all to see.
