Happy Easter to you all, and so happy the clocks are going forward this week when I don't have to work on the Sunday, because even morrisons dont open on easter sunday :)

Happy easter how time flies I won't be going down daisynook goodfriday or belve vue not even blackpool or Southport what do you do now on bank holiday pass times with snow on the forecast the garden is out of bounds  :(

Easter always reminds me of my childhood in Ashton. As a kid I remember standing in the bay window of our house on Newmarket Road and watching droves of folk walking past to get to Daisy Nook and the extra buses put on with paper destination signs stuck in the front window  saying 'Daisy Nook'. I seem to remember it was Silcocks who owned or rented the fairground site. Do they still - anyone know? Ahh - sadly it's all a LONG time ago now.

I am not sure who runs it I have not been for many years now I know it still comes as my daughters in laws live at the Nook will try and find out Fudge
