Well spotted Martin, and Kevin  ;D  I knew it was St Georges Summat  ::)
I met one of my sons in the Ash tree as he was visiting Ashton ( a rare ocurance living in Glossop!)
Both He and his friend were puzzling over a guy stood at the bar, who an old man had pointed to and said "he's a celebrity "
I recognised the "celeb" straight away, it was Sean whatever he is called,he used to be Martin Platt in Corrie  :-\

Another great video, Chris. However, it's KING George V Playing Fields- been there since 1936.

Ashton lad, Sean Wilson used to live in Uppermill, often saw him whenever we visited. Now owns the successful Saddleworth Cheese Co.   :P
You're only given a little spark of madness, don't waste it!

Used to live just off Union Rd looking out over King Georges Playing Fields when he was younger and used to play football with my daughter`s first husband and his brother . He was always knocking about round Ashton market when he was in Coronation Street and stood next to me many times at Nadin`s drink stall in the market. Always had his nose stuck in a newspaper so that he didn`t get anyone speaking to him.

My ex's baby sitter was Dawn Acton " Tracy " in the late 80's, I still see her occasionally, with a face full of steel and covered in tatoos !
