Yes, there were times when it felt a bit creepy, I had the feeling I was being watched but there was no one around. Now and then someone would walk through but on the whole I was alone.

Lovely video Vanessa - time to look around without the distraction of the crowds.

It's a fabulous film Vanessa.
A great one for the historical record.
There a great many changes since I was last there.

Hi
Lovely Video Vanessa I recognised one or two places. Was that Ladysmith place near where the Reprter building was Opposite the Majestic ( slot machines) has changed there used to be a garage there. Is the bread shop still next to the Pitt and Nelson and the paper shop opposite the old post office I used to deliver papers for Mr Hayes. What does the money shop sell surely not money or is it a borrowing shop.
Thanks Vanessa it brought back a lot of great memories     herby

Thanks Vanessa (so glad you came back!!) I last saw Ashton town centre in 1996, the main change is the Ladysmith centre , which seems to have made shopping so much easier. The market looks great....I really appreciate the trouble you,ve taken , I felt I was home again for 11 minutes ...thanks again !!
Politicians and nappies should be changed frequently...and for the same reason!!!

A great and lovely, yet eerie video Vanessa... ;D  It even took me back to the days of the War (1944) when I remembered going back up to Grandma's after being at the Palais with my late husband - walking past the Town Hall opposite the corner of the Market Hall.
Jayess - surely you remembered the old Majestic theatre building on the corner?  Or was it the Gaumont earlier or later?   Can never remember.  Anyway, thanks a million Vanessa - so glad you came back.
