1972 I visited my Mam& Dad in Hathershaw.We went to Blackpool for a week.On the Sunday Mam and myself'went for a Tram ride to the Tower.Mam wanted to go to the all-in wrestling Mam had only seen it on TV.Mam had always told us she knew Jack Pye a wellknown wrestler at the the time.We got seats near the ring.Mam said there is Jack Pye come with me.There he was Mam said hello and said I'm Dummies neice he looked at and replied bloody hell little Esther Wood.Made her day they had a chat for a while.Afterwards Mam see none you believed me.

Re- Blackpool
I was and still am attracted Blackpool Tower Ballroom.I've always loved the Organ.Since leaving England we have been back a few times Always visited Blackpool.My Mam &Dad lived there.
I have discovered I can get the Tower Balllroom on u tube with Reginald Dixon and all the following organist's I enjoy watching and listening.

I used to deliver papers from Oldham rd down Ney st  at the end of the forties.I think Willshaw Grove if it was on the right along Ney St, down Newmarket rd as far as the last house on the right

We have lived here in Oz 50yrs this year.Our daughter Wendy was born In Boundry Park Hospital Oldham 56yrs today,the Ambulance had chains on the wheels the snow was heavy I had to walk home in the snow.Have never wanted to go back to live in the UK.

Adding more to what I said about Valley Farm and Manor House Farm.Harry Andrews rented Manor House to my parents.That's only the farm house,he still farmed the rest of the land.This would have been about 1938 to 1941 that would have been Mam Dad my two older brothers and my self.
My younger sister was born in Manor House October 1939 she was the first War Baby in Bardsley.Myself and Mary are the only one's left of the family,and we are both living in Australia.
I gave Mary's age away there is only one person on this page who knows Mary.and I think she would'nt tell anyone

This video brought back lots of memories for me.I spent a lot of time,around Valley Farm Mr&Mrs Andrews who worked the farm also owned Manor House Farm in Knott Lanes.There is a lot of history in those two farms.We have a drawing of Manor House hanging in our Lounge room
