Been to 2 funerals this month, one was pat morris who was landlady of robin hood and queens, oldham road who I'd known all my life and the other was Ian maddock who I knew from my early teens and at 49 left too young

Due to work I havent been on here for a while so had quite a lot of catching up to do and was upset at how the comments made got a bit out of hand but hope everyone has a happy christmas

Used the buses on sunday as we decided not to go by car to the apollo, so boarded the 231 from hurst cross at 6.30pm and then walked from piccadilly to apollo, got an any bus daysaver because not sure if we would return via stagecoach. Great concert by the way it was Yes. Coming home got a bus into piccadilly then got 216 into ashton then just missed bus to husrstcross tho sure driver of 332 saw us in his mirror so ended up getting taxi home so spent extra 6 but we had great night but then husband said he should have drove as with all travelling we didnt have time to hit the pubs anyway lol

Liked and respected him a lot, always kind and helpful. Remember the time I ended up with a white drs coat and nothing else for an examination cos I'd turned up wearing jeans and t-shirt so he lent me his coat.

Speedway has been at the greyhound premises on kirkmanshulme lane since '88 after hyde road was demolished after the land was sold off to british car auction group. They are now building a brand new stadium at eastlands as openshaw is currently goin through a re-vamp.

For any one thats interested bellevue take a 2 point lead to poole tonight. It was a good match last night although they were winning by 10 at one point, still they have won at poole this season so they've still got a chance and poole have already won the league so here's hoping. It was freezing on the terraces last night but well worth the cold.

It is a bit dear plus petrol to get there but the last bonfire we had at home cost us a lot more and Paul is eager to go as he hasn't been for years.

Bellevue are actually through to the knockout cup final and the first leg weather permitting is tomorrow and then the second leg at Poole thursday. They want this trophy to take to the new stadium when it opens.
