Talking about Ashton / Re: Tameside Theatre
« on: August 11, 2012, 11:22 PM »
Great news about the theatre re-opening, love watching musicals such as blood brothers and having seen war of the worlds twice can understand that it wouldnt be able to be shown at a smaller venue but as a regular at the metro in bury they manage to put on varied performances. Groups that are coming down on popularity would fill the theatre, remember watching wishbone ash there years ago and with the tram links people will travel, and hopefully we can walk to a venue instead of going to bury, bring mountain to tameside.

Yes greenwoods in oldham is still going strong, my son decided he didnt like the suit he had bought for his recent wedding in cyprus and ended up hiring one from greenwoods and also for his reception in mossley, he looked fantastic, and my husband got his tie from there, last weekend they were advertising a big sale there.

I was trying to get home yesterday at 3pm and waiting for a bus to oldham and three first buses passed me full of passengers but with private or not in service on them, eventually I got on a 180 and got off at the mecca and crossed over to get the 408. When it did come it was obviously not going to stop as it was in the outer lane so I walked into the middle of the road and was let on. The driver told me he was not supposed to be picking up so I was lucky he let me on but don't understand why they were doing this as was told the 409s hadnt been picking up either, suppose its health and safety !!!

When I was a 1st year at ags my cousin was a prefect and nobody was wearing the hat so I wasn't going to stand out like a sore thumb wearing mine and  never got asked about it, so it was a waste of my parents money.

Think its to do with the person as met very elderly people in their fifties and very young people in their eighties so if you keep young in your mind and keep your health you can be any age you want
