A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, "What's with those guys? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes!"

The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such inept golf!"

The priest said, "Here comes the greens-keeper. Let's have a word with him." He said, "Hello George, What's wrong with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"

The greens-keeper replied, "Oh, yes. That's a group of blind firemen. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime!."

The group fell silent for a moment. The priest said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."

The doctor said, "Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything she can do for them."

The engineer said, "Why can't they play at night?"

Two engineering students were biking across a university campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?"

The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday, minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike, threw it to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want."

The first engineer nodded approvingly and said, "Good choice: The clothes probably wouldn't have fit you anyway."

If you scroll down the forum page and click on "who's online" you'll find there's usually 20 - 30 people on line but maybe 1 or 2 that are logged in. I'm 12 hours ahead of you so I'm online mostly in your wee small hours but even then there are heaps of visitors, just very few posters  ;)

Hi Kiwi,

Memory Lane / Re: The Beatles

I remember when the Beatles appeared in Ashton.  I couldn't go to the concert but the Ashton Reporter issued free photos of them and I had mine for years :-)

Jan I think you are mistaken....?

I lived in Ashton 1950 thro to 1973..... Apart from Manchester Venues.... the closest the Beatles ever cam to Ashton.... was in fact Oldham ?
I recall friends of mine going to see bot them and the Rolling Stones - IN OLDHAM

Sorry if I burst your bubble

2012 already.... its been 3 yrs since I last visited here (2009) and I think maybe again... 6 years before that (2003) must be getting towards a decade - since I first joined and began posting here.

Anyways.... its G'Day from me to all who may recall or remember me .....

Happy Easter

Kia Ora LCGI, you've got me stumped as to what the letters in your username represent  ;)

Licentiateship of the City and Guilds of London Institute ?

Local Common Gateway Interface ?

Leadership & Church Growth International ?

Littlemoss Country Golf Institute  :) ?

Your first guess is correct.....
