General Discussion / THE LAST DECADE
« on: January 03, 2010, 03:24 PM »
HI was the last dacade was it good or are you glad to see the back of it . it seems like yeasterday when we went into 2000 , we thought the world was going to end ,but a lot as happened in the last decade some good some bad , technologhy as advanced a lot , and more people are using computers ,as a way of life .it was mainly dial up back then ,what will you think this decade will bring ? i think there will be more and more on computers ,i think they will be a cure for cancer ,also they will visit the moon again and set up a moon station there ,but there will be no contact with other life forms in space . i think the fast food chains will decline ,and pubs will be a thing of the past , with just one or two large pubs in town centres ,interest rates will go up again and the credit crunch will come to an end ,but banks will never be the same again ,and councils will start to build more rented houses , and owning your own house will be come a rare  thing ,not counting the people that already own there own houses ,i can not see peace in the world in this decade , what are your thoughts past ,present . and future  :D

General Discussion / DISCIPLING
« on: October 25, 2009, 12:36 PM »
hi whats the world comming to a teacher 31 years career faces the sack for marching a pupil out of the class by is collar on is coat ,after the boy ignored four request to stop telling a racist joke ,i would hate to be a teacher today , will the vast marority of people stand up one day and say enough is enough of this p c  lobby , we should bring back some of the old ways ,but i can not see it happening until we go the full circle .i dont think the teacher should be sacked or taken to court for assault , if i had done that when i was a kid in school the teacher would not have requested more then once , it would have been a slap round the ear hole and if i had told my parents i would have got another slap for doing it  :-X
