You knew Einstein devloped a theory about space... and it was about time too!

How does the man in the moon cut his hair ? Eclipse it.

Living on earth may be expensive.. but at least you get a free trip around the sun every year !

I got these from a book about anti-gravity. It's impossible to put it down.

Well with todays scores Chelsea 1-0 over Liverpool means that United only need one point to secure 2nd Place.. Will they get it?
Some days they are world beaters and then they put a lousy display like against Brighton.. Mind you all the clubs play some dreary games Watched City make over 30 passes to and fro in the backfield. Talk about boring. That's kind of like training sessions..

Ask a question.... / Robertson's jam

By Golly, I was in a store yesterday and on the Import shelf was a bottle of Robertson's jam.  Are they still in business? and I recall when I was Young many years ago They used to give out lapel badges when you sent in so many labels! which also got me to thinking if anyone has one of the badges or can be they obtained ?.

I'd noticed on my last visit home my 80 year old father seemed to be losing his hearing, so I mentioned it to my mother. "Things haven't changed much she said. Only difference is, before, he didn't listen. Now he can't".

I'm  in great shape.... unfortunately it's the shape of a potato !!

Humility?    When my grandad was born they passed out cigars, when my dad was born they passed out cigarettes, and when I was born they just passed out!

Speaking of the war years, I am now in my 91st year, and here in my local Canadian Legion I am the youngest of a fast diminishing group "Veterans of the Second world war." Are there many left in Ashton??

I am trying to recall a gentleman who I knew as "Slim" had been a POW in Japan (Manchester Rgt). and he came in all the Pubs at Mossley Rd and Montague Rd... Miners, Cottage tavern and New Inn {1946-).. He was tall and had a small car. A real gentleman. There were two others who also popped in the Pub on occasion who had been in the Japanese Camps and all remembered it with despair.
I realize they have passed on now , but maybe others will recall them
