Talking about Ashton / Waterloo Memorial Service

My video of the market today, the Tuesday market used to be second hand only but now is mixed with new goods. A large part of the ground is closed due to the refurbishment works, but the crowds still come.

The bikers showed their support of the armed forces on Remembrance Sunday by wearing a red top and riding round the M60 ring road, they were attempting to form the world's largest poppy, my video was taken from the Back Lane bridge.

Talking about Ashton / Johnny Rich

Some of you will know or remember Johnny Rich, the legend of Ashton who sang in the pubs and clubs around Ashton. Sadly I have to tell you that he passed away today after being taken ill a week ago. As a tribute to him, here is a video made by Chris Coleman in July when he sang in The Prince of Orange. RIP Johnny.

I'm sorry to have to report the death of one of our long standing members, Assheton. He passed away on 25th September in The Sue Ryder Hospice in Cheltenham, he was only 59. I'm sure you will join me in sending his family our deepest condolences.
