Title: SHOPS IN ASHTON
Post by: greeny on February 08, 2018, 12:51 PM
hi i see another town centre stores closing and moving out argos and moving in with sainsburys ashton moss  , i think the argos at the snipe retail park will remain , and another proposed closer at denton crown point marks & spencer out let store not much to go there for if it closes after british home store closed and tesco home and ware , there was talk that the arcades in ashton was going to extend but i would say there are not enough stores to fill the arcades the only place worth shopping now is the in door market ,as the out side market as been designed all wrong, and has been on a decline sad, the down turn was when marks & spencer ashton town centre closed what are your views on this  ???

Same thing is happening all over the shop (sorry)  ;)

Interesting article here (https://mancunian1001.wordpress.com/2010/08/17/shopping-in-1980s-ashton-under-lyne/) with regard to shopping in A-U-L in the 80's.

I was told Sainsburys were going to be a collection point and the Ashton one was going to remain I hope so it is always busy and lots of people can just nip in while shopping the won;t go to the other places if they have no time . So you will be forced to shop on line its the pits progress Fudge
